Our Mandate

CGCSAPB was established to advance the competencies of practitioners in occupations identified across the four sub-sectors of the Consumer Goods industry.

The professional body informs the development of learning programs, advises training providers, and offers continuous development initiatives based on defined competencies. These competencies are developed by subject matter experts within the industry to ensure relevance and effectiveness.

The introduction and active promotion of a Code of Conduct for practitioners in the Consumer Goods industry is designed to promote responsible conduct, foster stakeholder confidence, and reduce the industry's environmental and resource impact.

CGCSAPB is the first body created to coordinate and address the skills development requirements across the entire Consumer Goods industry value chain. The professional body is supported by employers and other organizations that play key roles within this value chain, including:

  • Tactical Level
  • Operational Level
  • Strategic Level

The Professional Body is supported in part by contributions from key industry stakeholders within the Consumer Goods sector.
